AI photo edits have a habit of quietly rewriting the things that identify your product: the logo warps, the label text turns to gibberish, a model number changes one digit. You usually find out after the listing is live. Product Detail Lock fixes this mechanically — mark the regions that must survive, and those pixels are copied back from your original photo. Copied, not re-generated: the protected area ends up byte-identical to the original.
The mark works in two directions: protect what is inside it and let everything else change, or allow changes only inside it and restore everything else. Before restoring, the tool shows you what the edit had actually changed in the protected area — protection is not an abstract promise, you see the change region it caught. If the edit altered the image's framing so the marks no longer line up, it says so instead of pasting pixels into the wrong place.
- Input: the edited image + your original photo (same shot, same framing)
- Marks: up to 20 rectangular regions, reusable across editing rounds
- Output: edited image with protected pixels restored + a report of what changed
- Price: free — restoration runs on our servers with no vendor cost
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from asking the AI editor to "keep the logo"?
Asking a model to preserve a region is a probability, and when it loses you rarely notice. This is a copy: the protected pixels are taken from your original file, so the region is identical by construction, not by luck.
What if the edit resized or cropped the image?
Resizing is handled — the original is scaled to match before restoring, with a warning that upscaled restores inherit the original's sharpness. Cropping or reframing changes what the marks point at, so the tool refuses and asks you to re-mark on the new image rather than paste pixels into the wrong place.
Is the protection a guarantee of authenticity?
It guarantees the marked pixels match your original file — nothing more. It does not certify the rest of the image, and it is not a forensic or engineering-grade authenticity seal. That is also why the change report always shows you what was altered.
Do my marks carry over to the next edit?
Yes. Marks are versioned per source photo, so a second editing round starts from the regions you drew last time and you only add what is new.
