A clean, distraction-free background is the single biggest difference between a photo that looks like a real listing and one that looks sourced. Background Cutout removes the background in one click and gives you either a transparent PNG (to drop onto any scene) or a pure white background — the format Amazon requires for main images and most marketplaces prefer.

Unlike Smart Erase, which removes specific marks and inpaints behind them, Cutout separates the whole subject from its surroundings. Use transparent output when you plan to composite the product onto a lifestyle scene or a colored brand backdrop; use pure white when you need a compliant main image straight away.

Frequently asked questions

Transparent or white — which should I pick?

White for Amazon and most marketplace main images. Transparent when you will composite the product onto another scene, a colored backdrop, or a banner.

How does it handle hair, fur, or fine edges?

It handles clear edges well. Very fine wispy edges (loose hair, mesh, transparent packaging) are the hardest case for any cutout model and may need a touch-up. Higher-contrast originals cut out more cleanly.

Does this satisfy Amazon's main image rule on its own?

The pure-white mode covers the background requirement. If the original also has text or a logo on the product, run Smart Erase first so the final image is fully compliant.

Can I process a whole catalog?

Yes. Failed jobs auto-refund, so batch runs only cost you for images that came back clean.
