Apparel and accessory listings convert better when the model looks like the shopper. Model Skin Replacement adjusts a model's skin tone in an existing product photo so one photoshoot can be localized for different markets, instead of paying for a separate shoot per region. The garment, pose, lighting, and composition stay the same; only the model's skin tone changes.

This is a sensitive capability, and we ask you to use it responsibly. Localizing representation for a market is a legitimate merchandising decision; using it to misrepresent a real person, or in ways that are deceptive or demeaning, is not what the tool is for. As a premium, more compute-heavy job it costs more and may take longer than the lightweight tools.

  • Amazon apparel sellers localizing model photos across EU, US, LATAM markets
  • Shopify fashion brands producing region-specific model variants from one shoot
  • TikTok Shop apparel sellers testing model representation for regional launches
  • Cross-border apparel teams cutting per-region photoshoot costs
When to use it
  • Localizing one apparel shoot across regional storefronts without re-shooting.
  • Producing market-specific variants of a catalog for cross-border listings.
  • Testing which representation resonates in a new market before a full shoot.

Frequently asked questions

Is it ethical to change a model's skin tone?

Localizing representation for a market is a common, legitimate merchandising choice. We ask that you not use it deceptively or to misrepresent a specific real person. You are responsible for how the resulting images are used.

Does the garment or pose change?

No. The tool adjusts the model's skin tone while keeping the garment, pose, lighting, and framing intact, so it stays a faithful representation of the product.

Why does this cost more than other tools?

It is a premium, compute-heavy generation job that runs in the background, so it may take longer than the lightweight image tools. Failed jobs auto-refund.

Can I use a photo of a real, identifiable person?

Only with that person's consent and the rights to edit and publish their image. Do not use the tool to alter a real individual in a way they have not agreed to.
